- 3 things I learned from this class:
- I understand the basics of WordPress now which is super valuable and I’m excited about this new skill.
- I learned about alt text and what that looks like for accessibility on websites.
- I’ve always been curious about how domains work (how you acquire one) and now I have a much better understanding of that process.
- 2 things I wish we had more time to learn about:
- CSS Styles and working with templates on WordPress.
- Incorporating AI into websites and somehow using it for forms, contact pages, etc.
- Based on the Intro to Web class, I was fully prepared to learn more coding in this class. I really enjoyed learning code, but I’m also very grateful that we focused on WordPress. It’s great to have that foundation with WordPress because I think that will be a more valuable skill that I’ll use in the future. I do hope to learn how I can incorporate my coding knowledge into WordPress eventually, but that is definitely a muscle I’ll have to consistently build and keep up with. All in all, this class was not at all what I was expecting content-wise, but I’m happily surprised with what I’m taking away from it!
